franziska deserves to win this. gumshoe is a strong contender, but i am insane about the fact that miles is beating her.
franziska was likely born with an advanced law book in her hands. she was, at one point, the youngest bar-certified lawyer in ace attorney canon, passing her exam at the age of 13. in all canons she is canonically bilingual and works as both an international prosecutor and agent. when her shit ass cringefail brother (miles edgeworth, the guy who is somehow BEATING HER) decided to fake his own death and traumatize all his loved ones because he lacked the emotional intelligence to face his own demons and ask for help, it is heavily implied that franziska took his case load.
starting at age 13 franziska had a perfect win streak in court that lasted 5 years. after a momentary lapse in this streak she picked it right back up and spent another year racking up even more victories.
in the final case of game 2 franziska was shot, non-fatally, by a trained, hired assassin. for a gunshot wound to the shoulder, the average person would probably be looking at 3-5 days in the hospital (surgery, recovery, blood transfusions if needed, initial physical therapy assessment, and pain control), and 2-3 months to full recovery with physical and occupational therapy. even someone who was really diligent about getting out of the hospital might be able to do it in 2 days and get back to work at a desk job in about 10 days, but it would still be a couple months to full recovery.
franziska was out of that fucking hospital in a day, no doubt because she threatened the nurses and doctors with both legal and physical harm, but more importantly because there was justice to be served. lives on the line.
she left that hospital, jumped into a fucking car, and started chasing down the only lead anyone had left in the case. and then she busted into court with her fucking bullet wound, oh, and just for flair?

When some of us can’t leave the house without risking constant harassment or outright violence, July cannot be about the queer community.
When my country is saying it would be better for me to be euthanized than give me the support I need to survive, July cannot be about the queer community.
Stop speaking over us. Stop saying “it can be two things,” when I get told to off myself for telling someone that July is disability pride, not gay wrath, because I’m “ruining the fun” and it’s “just a joke.” Stop treating us as lesser than the queer community.
And to my fellow queer disabled folks who keep pushing the “it can be both” bullshit, check your privilege and recognize that you’re giving abled people an excuse to dismiss their ableism and not educate themselves.
People can be both. I am both. But July is about disability pride. Let us fucking have this without trying to overtake it.
